My Let’s Draw Sherlock entry! …That’s still a WIP. *dies* I ran out of time and wasn’t able to finish, but I’m gonna submit this anyway. I’ll update this (or repost) when I do get it done. T^T I’m so bummed I didn’t get to do more, but finals, man.

Millions of years into the future, a brutal civil war nearly destroyed most of planet Earth. W.A.T.S.On. (War All-Terrain Sniper One) was the first model of a war machine produced by the government to fight their battles for them. After the war ended and the humans fled, he is the last robot left on the planet. But his harddrive has been so corrupted that his former primary function [DESTROY] is now [REPAIR]. Except there’s nothing left for him to repair.

But one day, a mysterious black ship (the “Baker 221-b”) lands on Earth, carrying with it a mysterious drone whose empathy chip is malfunctioning. And now W.A.T.S.On. will stop at nothing to repair him.

I was drawing Clara and this happened

(remember last episode where everything was *coughTARDIS*cough* blue and she was the only thing in the scene in red? And how the interior of the TARDIS is blue and she’s always wearing red? I don’t know what it means, but I like it.)

A comic book publisher wants a comic about the famous Sherlock Holmes so Jim takes the job and writes the story of Sir Boast-a-Lot, the telepathic ant-hero, and his sidekick Normal Boy. They meet their tragic end at the hands of The Professor, Sir Boast-a-Lot’s arch nemesis.

I forgot that I did this thing. This is a thing I did.
(I can’t remember why but I clearly had a Hawkeye Initiative thing going here.)

Last week DC Comic’s Chief Creative Officer unveiled Zatanna’s new uniform on Twitter; in response, @nobodygaming invoked The Hawkeye Test.

Seems to me like a good opportunity for artists and fans alike to share their thoughts with @DCComics and @geoffjohns.

So I drew this

~~pleasedon’taskmewhyhelookslikeMartinFreeman~~ It was alright up until the legs down and then it got weird. Well. Actually, I don’t mind the fishnets so much. If it makes sense for that character to wear them, then I think it’s alright. (And if you ask me, I think Clint looks preeeetty cool. Except for that mask. Dat mask…)

Zatanna especially isn’t really a hand-to-hand fighter. She has magic, so she could really go into battle in stilts and probably be alright. The boob window is silly, but really not that much sillier than Clint’s mask. And maybe the white bit is supposed to be closeable because it comes down like a blouse. I think it’s supposed to resemble her old tuxedo vest thingy. …I really miss her old tuxedo thingy.

My problem with this new design isn’t so much that it makes her look silly or that it’s unrealistic, but it just…doesn’t look that great. Honestly, I liked her old outfit a lot better. Also, the new one looks too…superhero-y. It looks like what everyone else is wearing. The only thing putting Hawkeye into her costume proves is that now she doesn’t look like herself at all, because he’s completely unrecognizable as her. But if I’d put him in a top hat, blouse, and vest… The great thing about Zatanna was that she was so unique and she could wear the same costume while performing as a stage magician and while fighting crime. And she had a bow tie! A bow tie!! Ugh, it was really cute, and if she’d just worn shorts instead of panties, I think it would’ve been an acceptable costume design. And tbh, I was never really that bothered by the panties.

1pm: Tired of walking all over campus in search of a printer, I buy a new Metro Card and take the train home to print out my semester bill receipt then take the bus back to campus so I can hand it in to the bursar office. Whew. I party hard.

12pm: Paid my tuition, tried to print the receipt, printer was out of ink, went to the library, couldn’t get in without a student ID (need to get one soon), went to the I.T. Center, same thing, found a working printer, it was out of paper, got lost in a creepy tunnel for ten minutes, went into the Building of Science and was yelled at for not being a scientist. Went home, defeated.
